Promote project management as a recognized discipline by creating an environment that fosters professional development through continued learning, networking, and support of project managers.

Current Products and Services Offered by the Chapter

  • Local seminars, meeting and courses that allow practitioners to acquire professional development units (PDU) to further their knowledge and experience in the discipline.
  • Monthly program meetings scheduled January through November. The subject of our program meetings contains a variety of relevant Project Management topics.
  • Professional Development Day Seminars, bringing to Northeast Ohio a forum where professionals can network and exchange ideas with the top professionals in the project management field.
  • Notification of other Professional Development opportunities held in the local geographic area.
  • Volunteer opportunities within the chapter to serve, hone leadership skills and to contribute in the promotion of project management within the community.
  • Sponsorship of the annual Kerzner Award bestowed on an individual project management practitioner who best demonstrates project management excellence.
  • Active chapter committee to assist businesses in nominating local projects for PMI's Project of the Year award.
  • Website specific to the activities of the Northeast Ohio Chapter, allowing for on-line registration to the various events. Website includes a member-only section for information sharing and a network of mentors.

The following is the current leadership team for the chapter. The chapter is organized with Board of Directors at executive level, then Vice Presidents reporting up to board members. Directors report into the VP’s and the Volunteers report into the Directors.

The following are the Terms and Conditions for chapter events.


I. Non-Dinner Chapter Meetings:

  • There is no requirement for PMI membership to attend a chapter meeting.
  • Attire is business casual unless otherwise specified.
  • Registration to attend the event is required. We will not accept walk-ins, nor will we accept payments at the door.
  • Non-members are charged a fee to attend chapter meetings and events.
  • Non-members may attend as many chapter meetings as they wish.
  • Unless otherwise specified in the event details at time of registration, cancellation prior to 72 hours of the event will result in 100% refund of event costs less the electronic transaction fee to process the payment.  
  • Cancellation within 72 hours of the event, or after the event, will result in no refund.
  • Registration and payment for chapter events must be made in advance, as specified at the time of registration.  

II. Paid Meetings, Seminars, Social Events, and Dinner Meetings:

  • Registration to attend the event is required. We will not accept walk-ins, nor will we accept payments at the door.
  • There is no requirement for membership to attend a paid event, unless specified in the meeting description.
  • Attire is business casual unless otherwise specified.
  • Discounts will often be offered to PMI members, but not to non-members.
  • Cancellation prior to 72 hours of the event will result in 100% refund of event costs less the electronic transaction fee to process the payment. 
  • Cancellation within 72 hours of the event, or after the event, will result in no refund. Registrants that need to cancel within 72 hours of an event may exchange their seat with a colleague, and the substitute needs to notify the guest registration table with the substitution.
  • The ability to change food choices for dinner meetings may not be accommodated.
  • Registration and payment for these chapter events must be made in advance.


III. Terms and Conditions for Partner Events:

  • Events hosted by our partners are subject to the terms and conditions of the partner.  Registrants will be directed to visit the partner website to learn more about attendance, cancellation, and other terms and conditions.
  • The Northeast Ohio Chapter of PMI is not responsible for the quality and / or the logistics of our partner events.
