Dear Members of PMINEO’s Executive Thought Leadership Advisory Council:

As you have heard me say time and time again, one of the key actions we look for from this group is to share information about our annual award nominations to the project managers and project teams that you supervise and manage as well as sharing this information with your peers that supervise and manage project teams.

Applications are due March 16, 2026 and the nomination process is very easy:

https://pmineo.org/pmineo-annual-awards

Nominees and Nominators do NOT need to be members of the Chapter.

Project or PMs do not need to be located in Northeast Ohio but Project or PM or PM Team must have some connection to Northeast Ohio (the project and/or project team must be in Northeast Ohio or otherwise connected to Northeast Ohio)

Self-nominations are encouraged – no one knows your projects better than the project team.

As a reminder, I often liken these awards as the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future.

  • (Past) Project manager of the Year : Someone who has, over time, been influential/inspirational to others in their role as project managers.
  • (Present) Project of the Year : A project that successfully concluded in 2025 that used good project management techniques. We know it didn’t go perfectly but we want to hear about projects in which project management disciplines were used to deliver a project that ultimately met project charter goals. We understand projects come in all sizes as does firms that implement projects. There is no minimum company size. Projects should be of some significance and at an “enterprise” level.
  • (Future) Emerging Professional of the Year ; Someone who recently started out or recently pivoted into Project Management that has demonstrated an early appreciation and ability to adopt project management methodologies. This award is to recognize someone new to the role of project manager that has show early success in the field.

Thank you for your assistance in promoting these awards and encouraging your teams to consider submitting nominations.
