Every Day Counts – Managing Risk, Scope, and Complexity in a Large-Scale Employer Transition
March 11
Every Day Counts tells the story of a high‑stakes staffing transition project in which more than 1,600 caregivers across four operational departments were moved to a new employer under a firm contractual go‑live date of January 1.
With a large, cross‑functional IT and operational team, a compressed timeline spanning three major holidays, and executive visibility, the initiative demanded rapid alignment, disciplined execution, and unwavering clarity of scope. What follows is a look at how the team mobilized quickly, managed complexity across 13 workstreams, navigated emerging risks, and ultimately executed a clean cutover, an effort that demonstrates sound project management practices and highlights the critical importance of structure, communication, and adaptability when the stakes are high and the impact is felt by over a thousand colleagues.
