PMINEO encourages a pragmatic, not panicked, response to the Coronavirus pandemic. All of our programming will remain virtual until the stay-at-home order is lifted and the CDC acknowledges it is again safe to assemble in groups. The May PDD has been postponed until the Fall; stay tuned for a new date and details. Please check our website, follow us on social media, and read the Monday Pulse email for the most up-to-date information regarding event status and virtual opportunities.
If you are experiencing financial hardship during this time, PMI does offer some provisions. Contact PMI Customer Care for more information.
Grow Your Skills
The Northeast Ohio of Project Management Institute (PMINEO) provides classes to help with preparation for the PMP and CAPM exam. The classes include the shared perspectives, lively discussion, comprehensive study guides and sample questions. The course is an exceptional value for PMINEO members.
Participants interested in obtaining the CAPM or PMP are encouraged to attend. Materials for the session will align to the 6th edition PMBOK. Also, if you are an existing PMP and want to brush up on the latest edition PMBOK and earn PDU's by learning and training others, please joining us.

Wow... what a roller coaster ride Q2 has been!! Despite COVID-19, our PMINEO has continued to offer outstanding programming and networking opportunities, posted articles and links to Resources for Working Virtually, and hosted a Fundraiser to support the Greater Cleveland Coronavirus Response effort. And all of this virtually!
I would like to express the Board's gratitude to our dedicated volunteers who have maintained excellence in leading the Chapter. Your service is very much appreciated. And Thanks to you, our members, for staying engaged and supporting our virtual events!
On a more personal note, many of us are experiencing pain for family, loved ones, or friends who have been affected by the virus. We are navigating a 'new normal' in our families (schooling children at home, sharing a makeshift office with a spouse). We are celebrating milestones in new ways (virtual graduations and birthday parties). We are encouraging those on the front-lines fighting the virus (impromptu cheering for hospital heroes and first responders). Regardless of our individual situations, we are all connected in one way or another... we are truly #InThisTogether.
Please take advantage of our website, social media, and virtual events to stay connected and grow personally through this time.
More recently, our nation has been torn apart with racial unrest. Please take a few minutes to read a short letter from PMI President & CEO, Sunil Prashara, addressing inequality:
As always, feel free to reach out to me if you have questions or suggestions about our Chapter.
Speakers for our Chapter's Events
Our PMI Chapter welcomes proposals from passionate speakers interested in sharing their experiences, knowledge and expertise on such topics as general business and strategy, leadership, project management, and technical or industry-specific specialties. Our Professional Development events provide professional development units (PDUs) of educational information necessary for those attendees maintaining certification designations. Speakers are also eligible to claim PDUs for their creation and delivery of the presentation material.
Find a Volunteer Opportunity
Make your mark on our PMI Chapter and the profession. As a member, you can volunteer to work on and to lead activities that advance the profession and support the chapter business operations by joining our chapter volunteer community. All volunteer openings are managed by the PMI Volunteer Relationship Management System (VRMS). This system includes the ability to search for opportunities, view details about each role and apply online.
