Project management is one of the fastest-growing professions. On an annualized basis, employers will need to fill nearly 2.2 million new project-oriented roles each year through 2027, but as opportunities are growing, much of the available talent is reaching retirement age . In addition, PMI recently found that salaries of practitioners with the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification are 20 percent higher on average than those without a PMP®. The combination of plentiful opportunities and the potential for a higher salary creates a positive job outlook for university students looking to get a jump start on their career.
PMINEO’s Student Leadership Development team partners with universities across Northeast Ohio to connect you with the resources you need to earn the CAPM® certification or get started on your PMP®. Attending a monthly chapter meeting can unlock new educational and networking opportunities that are invaluable as you’re getting ready to start your career. You just may find your first position there!
