Message from PMINEO President, Ramya Ramadurai

President's Messages

Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone is enjoying these last few days of summer (although I could have done without the heat wave the last few days). I am getting back into the swing of back-to-school and re-establishing routines as we transition into fall.

Speaking of getting into the swing of things, I wanted to talk about a couple of important things for our chapter.

Our 2024-25 Chapter Elections for new Board members will open in the next two weeks on September 9th, so be on the lookout for the official announcement. You will see a ballot from PMI in your inbox – be sure to check your spam / junk folders for these emails. All candidate nominations and bios will also be sent along with the notifications for elections.

All current PMI Northeast Ohio Chapter members are eligible to vote. Chapter members, thanks in advance for participating in your Board elections. Voting will conclude approximately 2-2.5 weeks after it opens.

Next, a note about our Annual Planning Meeting that usually occurs in the fall. This year, our board has decided to get refocused on our three key initiatives and has voted to utilize the rest of the year towards making progress in these areas – we are forgoing the Annual Planning Meeting in view of this decision. As a result, our next member meeting will be an update during the State of the Chapter address in early 2025 where we will review our accomplishments towards our key focus areas.

As a reminder, our themes for this year are:

  • Rebuilding the PMINEO brand
  • Engaging young professionals
  • Building Community

Wishing everyone a safe and healthy Labor Day holiday,

Ramya Ramadurai
President, PMINEO
