· 6:00 pm to 6:10 pm – kickoff, chapter business, introduce speaker
· 6:10 pm to 7:10 pm – Glenn’s presentation and Q&A
· 7:10 pm to 7:15 pm – wrap up and raffle
Overview:
We will provide an overview of PMI’s Certification offerings through the Certification Framework. PMI has certifications that span multiple project roles and experience levels.
Learning outcomes:
* Participants will learn where to review the organization’s current certification and credential offerings.
* Participants will be able to identify how to utilize the tool to guide their individualized career path.
* Participants will know the requirements for each offering.
Speaker: Glenn Farrow, Product Specialist, PMI
Glenn joined PMI in 2007 and currently serves as a Product Specialist for PMI’s professional certification products. In this role he supports all aspects of the candidate’s journey, including application submission and audit, and especially their experience with Pearson VUE, PMI’s third-party exam delivery vendor. From 2007 through 2019 Glenn was the Manager of the Application Processing Department within the Integrated Services team.
Prior to joining PMI, Glenn held a number of positions within the financial services industry including the Checking Processing Manager, Cardmember Services Department Manager, and National Cardmember Services Policy Manager for Discover Card, site Manager for Fidelity IFS and Remittance Processing Manager at dLL. He has actively participated in the implementation of the Malcom Baldridge Quality award criteria and Philip Crosby’s quality improvement processes within Discover Card. Glenn has supported PMI’s ANSI/ISO efforts in both operations and product support.
Glenn holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Delaware, was a member of the International Economics Honor Society (Omicron Delta Epsilon), a certified Information Capture Professional (ICP) for 14 years through the Institute of Financial Operations, is now a Certified Scrum Product Owner through ScrumAlliance and has held the position of Treasurer for his local MENSA chapter.
