There are many ways to connect. Join a local chapter or network virtually through PMI® online communities to gain valuable knowledge for career and organizational advancement. Member Benefits

Education and Training

Enhance your project management knowledge. Increase your skills, prepare for certification examination, or earn valuable Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward maintaining your certification. PMI members can take advantage of these opportunities at discounted rates through the PMI Seminars World Program and the new e-Symposia, PMI's virtual seminars. For additional educational opportunities, search the online database of PMI recognized registered education providers and the online list of academic institutions offering degrees in project management.

Knowledge and Wisdom Center

PMI members receive significant discounts on relevant, reliable and timely information regarding the practice and profession through the PMI James R. Snyder Center for Project Management Knowledge & Wisdom. Information is accessed via reference/research and current awareness services. These use resources such as literature search services and Internet search engines to provide answers to project management related questions. Document delivery/reprint services are also available to provide copies of articles from PMI periodical literature upon request.

Publications 

  • Members receive subscriptions to PMI's periodical publications. Take advantage of the wealth of information sent to you in the monthly issues of PM Network, PMI's sought-after professional magazine; quarterly issues of the Project Management Journal; PMI Today, and the PMINEO newsletter, the Pulse. Members also receive discounts on professional books, training tools and resources available through PMI's online bookstore.
  • Continuing Certifications and Discounts
    Earning a Project Management Institute Certification, such as Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), demonstrates knowledge and understanding of project management principles and concepts to employers, team members, peers and stakeholders. PMI members will benefit from discounted certification examination fees and are able to take advantage of preparation materials and courses offered through PMI's affiliate organizations.

PMI Hardship Provision

PMI Hardship Provision to help members renew their membership
The Hardship Provision is available to any PMI member whose financial condition has changed sufficiently so that a member would have difficulty renewing membership. A member must be in good standing for at least three previous years to qualify for the hardship provision. Under this provision, a member is granted a waiver for one year of PMI membership dues and one year of dues for membership in any two PMI components of which the applicant was a member the previous year. The Hardship Provision may be granted for a maximum of two years for each member. This information can also be located on the back of the renewal invoice that members receive.

To apply for consideration, send a letter explaining the nature of the hardship, along with the invoice, to the attention of the Manager, Membership Services memberservices@pmineo.org prior to the membership expiration date. Please remember that any incorrect or untrue statements made by a member are in violation of the PMI Member Ethical Standards-Member Standards of Conduct and may lead to the initiation of an ethics complaint in accordance with the PMI Member Ethics Case Procedures.
