In an increasingly projectized world, PMI professional certification ensures that professionals are ready to meet the demands of projects and employers across the globe.
Each PMI professional designation has varying educational and practical experience requirements that must be accepted by PMI before the candidate can sit for a certification exam. Candidates must pass the exam before certification can be granted.

How to Earn PDUs to Maintain Certification
Once granted, a certification must be maintained through ongoing training known that earns Professional Development Units (PDUs). Select Maintain Certifications to find resources to maintain an existing certification.

Ways to earn PDUs include:
- Attend PMI Northeast Ohio chapter meetings, check the calendar, or view recordings of past online chapter meetings. (Not all meetings are recorded.);
- Volunteer with the local PMI Northeast Ohio chapter;
- Visit projectmanagement.com and attend webinars;
- Take professional development courses at Baldwin Wallace;
- Take professional development courses from our other partners;
- Listen to podcasts such as: PMI Projectified, PM Podcast, or Velociteach Manage and;
- Earn PDUs through PMI National Organization.
