Topic: 11/11/20 How to Prepare to take the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®) exam Date: Wednesday, November 11 6:00pm - 7:30pm Overview: Attendees will learn the basics behind the PMI-ACP exam and gain tips and tricks on how to best prepare and take the exam. The Project Management Institute (PMI) offers a professional certification for agile practitioners, known as the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)®. Agile practitioners can be the leader, coach, mentor, developer, product owner, business customer or any member of the agile team. The exam tests you on your knowledge of a broad range of agile topics and approaches. The PMI-ACP® certification recognizes knowledge of agile principles and practices across agile methodologies (including Scrum, Lean, Kanban, etc.). We are not limiting a practitioner to one agile approach. The certification can be used in a variety of roles, and any member of an agile team may be eligible to apply. It is also important to note that it can be used in a variety of projects and industries, not just in IT. The PMI-ACP® examination will consist of 100 scored items and 20 unscored (pre-test) multiple choice questions. We will cover high level content that will be covered on the exam as well as share tips on how to study and prepare to take the exam. Projects are not about things; projects are about people. This presentation describes the critical responsibilities of the project manager is leading the team through vision, motivation, communication, action, focus, and tenacity, i.e., leadership. The key question is: how do you acquire/develop project leaders

PMINEO has a Women in Project Management Book Club and all are welcome! The next book we will be reading is Conversations with RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Life, Love, Liberty, and Law by Jeffrey Rosen on November 18th via Zoom. About The Book: Conversations with RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Life, Love, Liberty, and Law by Jeffrey Rosen This remarkable book presents a unique portrait of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, drawing on more than twenty years of conversations with Jeffrey Rosen, starting in the 1990s and continuing through the Trump era. Rosen, a veteran legal journalist, scholar, and president of the National Constitution Center, shares with us the justice’s observations on a variety of topics, and her intellect, compassion, sense of humor, and humanity shine through. The affection they have for each other as friends is apparent in their banter and in their shared love for the Constitution―and for opera. PDUs Available: Based on the amount of time you will spend in self-directed study of leadership – we estimate up to six hours of reading, which converts to up to 6 PDUs for qualified PMPs who are under the 30 PDU limit for their current three year certification cycle. Please note that these PDUs will need to be reported as Self-Directed Learning. For full details on PDU reporting refer to the PMP Handbook.
