"Wind Farming in Lake Erie" PMO Breakfast Forum brought to you by PMI Northeast Ohio Chapter and Roeder Consulting Please join us for a discussion with Dr. Lory Wagner as he tells us about the Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo) and Fred. Olsen Renewables turning a decade old vision of a vibrant offshore wind industry in the Great Lakes into a reality. Icebreaker Wind is a small six (6) turbine demonstration wind farm 8-10 miles off Cleveland’s shore that will produce enough energy to power about 7,000 homes. The project is now on course to be permitted and constructed in 2018. Dr. Wagner will discuss what it takes to put the steel for North America’s first freshwater offshore wind project in Lake Erie and what it takes to build a new offshore wind industry in Northeast Ohio. Agile best practices can be applied to a variety of situations. Most prevalent is IT projects, often for software development. But can you apply agile to a ‘portion’ of a software implementation project? This presentation will provide an overview of a successful example where agile techniques were applied to a multi-year, multi-million-dollar IT program – specifically to the testing phase. Speaker: Todd R. Jones Facilitator: Glen Westlund Earn 1.5 PDUs Date: Thursday, September 21, 2017 Time: 6:00pm - 8:30pm Location: Medina County University Center, 6300 Technology Ln, Medina, OH 44256
